Grant Description
Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for operational support. Funding is intended to assist not-for-profits that operate a community facility and provide a variety of cultural, recreational, and community activities. Grants can support general operations, including utilities and insurance expenses. Eligible applicants are located in and serve Yellowhead County.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Yellowhead County has grant funding available to registered not-for-profit organizations or hall boards that have been in operation for at least one year and operate a community hall in the County.
Ineligible
Applicants who have previously received any grant funding from Yellowhead County but have not submitted the requisite financial accounting for the grant(s) will not be eligible for funding under this program until all outstanding accounting requirements have been met.

Community halls that receive operational funding from other levels of government are ineligible for funding under this program.

Applications for purchasing major capital items or purchasing new facilities will not be considered.
Pre-Application Information
The deadline for applications is March 31st each year.

Applicants are encouraged to contact a Yellowhead County Recreation staff member to discuss the grant program before making an application.

Up to 50% of total eligible expenses will be funded.

Important: If groups are also applying for Outdoor Amenity Operational Funding, only one set of current executive/board of directors, evidence of Societies Act, previous year financial statement, and proof of insurance coverage is required. Applications MUST be submitted together.
Estimated Size of Grant
50% funding up to a maximum of $11,000.
